We are excited to offer an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated Band 3 to join our expanding Emergency Department team as an Emergency Department Administrator.

The applicant will be responsible for inputting and validating data relating to Emergency Department targets and for the Trauma Audit and Research Network (TARN).  The role will also entail working within a vibrant and dynamic admin team, supporting the senior ED team to maintain smooth running of the ED at Salisbury Hospital.

The successful applicant will be a proactive and motivated individual with an eye for detail and an enquiring mind; be a competent and confident computer user; manage a varied and demanding workload, working to meet deadlines; use initiative to highlight and resolve problems and work well within a team.

Whilst we serve a mostly rural population we are also a designated trauma unit and have a track record in handling major incidents successfully which offers a varied and challenging workload.  The number of Emergency Department attendances is steadily increasing therefore we are pleased to be able to expand our administrative team to support.

We are pleased to be able to offer a part time secondment (up to 18.75 hours per week) and as a flexible employer we can consider a flexible working pattern.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
